The 80/20 rule
80 percent of your success as a sales person will be
determined by your attitude and only 20 percent by your aptitude. A positive
mental attitude or constructive and optimistic way of looking at yourself and
your looks goes hand in hand with sales success in every field. The development
of unshakable self-confidence and enthusiasm, no matter what is going on around
you is your passport to greatness in selling. The other 20 percent of effective
sales comes from product knowledge and professional selling skills.
The correct module attitude for sales come from a high level
of product and presentation skill that helps build confidence and self- assurance
upon which your sales attitude periods.
The quality of
your thinking determines the quality of your life. If you therefore increase
the quality of your thinking in a particular area you will improve the quality
of your life in that area.
MASTER SALES
ATTITUDE SELF CONCEPT: Your self-concept level is the bundle of
believes chat you have about yourself. This is the master configuration of your
subconscious, begotten from your first experience as a kid. Over time, you have
a complex series of interwoven ideas, doubts, fears, opinions, attitudes,
values, hopes, expectations, phobias, myths, and after impressions.
You have
consciously taken them into your subconscious accepting they are true, which
then becomes the operating model for your subconscious i.e. everything you say,
do, think and accept/feel without an external conscious effort to change on
your part you will continue doing, thinking, saying and feeling very much the
same thing. Indefinitely, as much as possible avoid small self-concept, as this
is responsible for how you think, feel and perform in regards to people,
sports, health, relationship, work, learning, creativity and everything else
you do. Your mini-self concept for how much money you earn is responsible for
your income; it is not a respecter of your joy state i.e. whether you are happy
or not with your income. It is the amount you have programmed yourself to earn
based on your past earning and current believe system.
In fact, yourself concept level of income
is so deeply ingramed that if you earn much more or less than your current
level of income you will feel dissatisfied. Even thinking about earning
sustainably more or less, than you are accustomed to will make you uneasy or if
you earn 10percent or more above your income level, you will do everything
possible to get rid of the money. You will have an irresistible urge to go out
and spend on buying something you don’t
need. If you earn more than you are comfortable with any period, lend it to
people who won’t pay it or
even give it away.
If you earn less than your self-concept level of income, you
will start engaging in scrambling behavior to get your income back up into the
range were you feel comfortable, you will start working longer and harder and
maybe upgrading skill you may consider a second income opportunity.

must sell more and earn more, you must increase your self-concept of income,
and you must increase the amount you believe yourself capable of learning.
