17-year-old student brandishing a knife before stabbing teacher to death (graphic photos)
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested for stabbing his 24-year-old teacher to death.
Photos of the boy brandishing a knife before carrying out the crime have now been released.
Photos of the injured teacher lying on his hospital bed before his death have also been shared online.
According to reports, the boy stabbed his teacher last Thursday in full view of a class that was in the process of writing an examination at Ramotshere Moiloa High School in Zeerust‚ North West, South Africa It was gathered that the teacher named Gadimang Daniel Mokolobate reprimanded the student on Wednesday, September 12, for skipping the queue at the school’s feeding programme. The next day, September 13, the boy arrived at school armed with the weapon.
The department of basic Education national spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga, said: On Thursday, he didn’t come to school on time. He arrived at 11am and went into the classroom where other learners were writing. Two teachers were in the classroom invigilating.
He approached the teacher who had reprimanded him yesterday and stabbed him in the chest several times.
The boy ran away shortly after stabbing his teacher but a security guard and other students tackled him
According to the department, in March the suspect was given a warning for coming to school in possession of a knife. Police confirmed that the teen was in police custody and would be charged with murder.
