POLICE DECLARES DINO MELAYE FIT TO STAND TRIAL

AIG Ahmadu made this known while speaking to journalists at the police clinic in Abuja, Monday.

The assistant inspector general of Police, Medical, AIG Naomi Ahmadu has certified the senator representing Kogi West at the National Assembly, Dino Melaye medically fit to stand trial in the case of alleged attempted culpable homicide preferred against him by the Nigeria Police Force.

AIG Ahmadu made this known while speaking to journalists at the police clinic in Abuja, Monday.

The AIG said, the police is providing good and quality medicare for the senator representing Kogi west in the National Assembly.

Although, senator Melaye claims he needs further and better medical attention, the police promised to continue to take care of him pending when he will be arraigned in court.

The lawmaker had fainted at his residence and at headquarters of the special anti robbery squad (SARS) after he surrendered to the police.
