Senator Dino Melaye Surrenders to Police

Eight days after the police laid siege outside his home in Abuja, embattled Senator Dino Melaye has finally surrendered to the police.

Some senators paid Dino a visit inside the Maitama home on Friday, January 4th and afterwards escorted him to the Police headquarters to meet with the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

The police stormed Dino Melaye home last Friday December 28th with the hope of arresting him for a case of attempted murder. 

The police allege that Dino and his "thugs" attempted to murder a police officer in Kogi in July 2018.

Dino has since denied the allegation.
